Position Summary
We have recently embarked on a multi-year project to implement SAP S/4 HANA & MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) at all manufacturing locations. To support our growth, we are implementing a single instance, private cloud-based SAP S/4HANA environment with on-premise MES software at each manufacturing location. This role will work with others on the team to resolve user issues in our SAP/MES environment, primarily in PP, ePPDS, MM, QM, WM, and MES.
Primary Responsibilities
* Ability to interpret and clarify incoming SAP incidents and service requests
* Support SAP PP, MM, QM, WM, MES, and ePPDS processes and make continuous improvement recommendations.
* Develop a working knowledge of the organization to efficiently route business support and clarifying questions to the right people.
* Work with the SAP support team and SAP Basis as needed to share knowledge and approaches to issues.
* Enter SAP OSS/ECS tickets as needed and work to resolution.
* Work with end users to understand issues, suggest resolutions, and follow up to ensure closure.
* Consult with IT personnel as necessary to diagnose and resolve system or networking issues.
* Interact with vendors for assistance with incident resolution as required.
* Document recurring solutions to incidents.
* Attention to detail and following a consistent approach to problem-solving are critical skills.
Basic Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or comparable work experience.
* SAP training, certifications, tools, and methodologies are a plus.
Experience:
* At least three years of experience supporting SAP, preferably with S/4 HANA in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of SAP PP and MM is required. Additional experience with QM, WM, ePPDS, and MES is preferred.
* Experience working in an ITIL-based service management environment
