***SAP Data Migration Consultant - 12 months+ - remote***

For one of my clients, I am looking for a SAP Data Migration / Master Data Consultant to start on a 12 months+ assignment as part of the new team in charge, withing the S4/HANA project, of all Master Data / Data Migration topics for all international roll-outs to come.

Job description:

- Be the single point of contact for data migration methodology and tools
o Provide to the wave a kit of "data collection templates" up to date and automated.
o Train & support the waves to the use if the toolkit.
o Ensure continuous improvement.
- Support and guide the waves for all data collection and conversion activities.
- Load the data migration files in quality, preproduction and production.
- Prepare the data sign-off files for audit purposes.

Main tasks:

- Maintain and enrich a "tool kit" of the data collection template files.
o Automatization of the checks to ensure data consistency between the different fields/tabs of a given collection file and between the different collection files.
o Automatization of the conversion from "collection file" to "upload file"
o Set up KPIs to ensure a smooth follow up of the Master data preparation.
o Set up "user friendly" templates design in order to ease the handling by the business.
o Create appropriate documentation (use guides, training documents) to ensure the Knowledge transfer.
- During waves project assessment:
o Organize and lead data assessment workshops in order to define the data migration strategy.
o Initiate the wave data templates at the beginning of a wave:
 Copy/past the appropriate collection files in the wave folder
 Update the bound of dependencies and the automatic checks inter & intra files
 Train the Wave stakeholders on how to use the data collection templates, especially the modes of operation for formulas (bound of dependencies, automatic checks) and KPI
- During waves roll-out project:
o Support the Wave stakeholders:
 Answer questions about collection files and data migration strategy
 Be the point of contact for any question related to data and guide them to the appropriate contact person
o Continuous improvement:
 Collect all the improvements and the changes (new business rules, new field, new list of value, new control,...) to continuously keep the templates up to date
 Keep the "Master Data assessment Guideline" (link toward all the file) up to date
 Document all the processes and procedures to ensure the continuity (knowledge transfer)
o Data loading runs in Quality / Pre-production and Production.
 Receive the data migration files provided by the key-users.
 Check the quality of the data transformation.
 Identify the issues and inform the key-users.
 Load the files in SAP.
 Prepare the data migration sign-off files

- Qualifications for the position
o Very good knowledge of SAP data migration tools and best practices
o Very good understanding of SAP module(s) (either Finance, or Sales or Supply Chain modules).
o Very good skills in Google and Excel spreadsheet
o Good interpersonal capacities & good communication skills. Must be able to mobilize and coordinate different contributors (core team IT & Business, Wave stakeholders)
o Project manager's skills with an expressed interest in master data & migration process topics
o Professional English

The assignment would be remote with occasional travel in Western Europe (15-25% per month)
